Skin Booster Advice & Information

Skin boosters are a relatively new category of cosmetic treatment designed to improve skin hydration, elasticity, and overall quality. Unlike traditional dermal fillers and Botox, which primarily focus on volumising the face or reducing wrinkles, skin boosters target skin texture and hydration at a more superficial level.

Skin boosters are injectable treatments composed of hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring substance in the skin known for its ability to retain moisture. The hyaluronic acid used in skin boosters is often in a softer, more fluid form than what’s found in traditional dermal fillers, allowing it to spread evenly within the skin layers. Once injected, skin boosters attract water, leading to improved hydration and enhanced elasticity.

Hyaluronic acid is a key component in maintaining skin hydration. As we age, our natural hyaluronic acid levels decline, leading to dehydration, loss of volume, and reduced skin elasticity. Skin boosters help replenish this lost hyaluronic acid by delivering it directly into the skin’s dermal layers. Once there, the HA molecules attract water, deeply hydrating the skin from within. Over time, the improved hydration can lead to better skin texture, softness, and a radiant appearance.

Some skin boosters also stimulate collagen production, which further contributes to improved skin elasticity and firmness over the long term.

Skin boosters are an excellent treatment option for those seeking to improve skin hydration, texture, and radiance. They provide subtle but significant improvements by addressing skin quality from within, rather than focusing on volume or muscle movement as dermal fillers and Botox do.

As a result, they can be used in conjunction with other cosmetic treatments to enhance overall skin appearance and achieve a more youthful and refreshed look.

3 to 4 treatments, three weeks apart are required to achieve optimum results and optimal longevity.

To maintain results, further treatments are recommended every six months. There are alternatives to this procedure available, including the acceptance of my present condition.

EXPECTED OUTCOME

The treatment is expected to improve the skins, appearance and quality, it is often the case that some improvement can be seen within a few days, with a continued improvement over 6 to 12 weeks. Outcomes are dependent on biological responses and subject lifestyle factors which will vary between individuals.

Whilst you may have been advised as to a probable result, they should not be interpreted as a guarantee.
